The Bohonon House, which faces Mill Lane and the railroad tracks, was built by Peter Bohonon in 1845, soon after he married Susan Tibbetts. Peter, an important neighborhood person, was the railroad station agent from 1855 to 1891, and, using his home as the base, was also the East Billerica Postmaster from 1877 to 1891.
Peter and Susan Bohonon had a son Francis, who also worked for the railroad, and a daughter Harriet, who lived on alone in the family home for many years after the death of her parents.
When Harriet Bohonon died in 1922, the property was sold to Robert and Hilda Wright. The Wrights had no children, but their nephews, the Ferren brothers, lived with them.
This house, along with the Peter Bohonon Shed next door were demolished in 2021.
